No mask, no entry rule at shops, workplaces

DDMA issues guidelines


The Delhi disaster management authority (DDMA) issued an order stating "no mask, no entry rule". This rule is stated for all the shops and workplaces due to the surge in Covid cases. 


As per the statement, DDMA said, "All DMs and district DCPs shall ensure that no cultural event, gathering, and congregation are taking place for celebrating Christmas and New year in the national territory of Delhi." It said it is advised for the resident to follow Covid-19 appropriate behavior. 


According to the information, restaurants and bars will continue to operate with 50 percent of the seating capacity, while marriage-related gatherings are permitted with a maximum of 200 people in attendance. All political/social/cultural/religious/festival-related gatherings are prohibited throughout NCT of Delhi ...all district magistrates and DSPs shall ensure that no cultural event/gatherings/ congregation takes place for celebrating Christmas or New year in the NCT of Delhi."


Delhi reported 125 cases of the Covid-19 on Wednesday. The Covid cases are speeding up in some states. The state government and respective authorities are making decisions and reviewing the scenario by implementing a ban or restriction in a few places ahead of the upcoming festival and new year.
