No Omicron Patient Needed Oxygen Support Yet In Delhi

496 new COVID-19 cases


New Delhi: On Wednesday, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said that not a single Omicron patient in the national capital has required oxygen support so far.

 

Mr Satyendar Jain said, "COVID-19 positivity rate is around 1% with 496 new cases reported yesterday. The massive increase has been observed with the arrival of international flights. Not a single Omicron patient has required oxygen support so far."

 

He further added, "Mostly it has been observed that the family members of those who have returned from foreign countries get affected by the Omicron variant. But everyone needs to take proper precautions."

 

According to the Union Health Ministry data on Omicron cases, Delhi is at its highest, accounting for 238 cumulative cases out of the country's total 781 cases.

"Out of 238 Omicron patients, 57 have been discharged," As per Wednesday's Health bulletin.

 

On Tuesday, "Delhi reported 496 new COVID-19 cases with one death in the last 24 hrs," as per a previous Delhi health bulletin.

 

It further added, "Positivity rate is 1.89 per cent and there are 1,612 active cases in the national capital."
