Odisha To Reopen Schools For Class 1-5

The schools will begin on January 3 2022


Amid a surge in cases of Covid-19 and Covid-19 led New Variant Omicron. The population is under fear. The Odisha Government announced to reopen the school for physical classes for the students of class 1-5. The schools will begin on January 3. 



With the peak in the cases of Covid-19, the state government and Minister have taken a decision to close the school. The schools have been closed for the last two years. The hit of deadly coronavirus has led to a shutdown in schools, colleges, and other educational institutions in the Country.



According to the statement given by Ranjan Dash, School and mass education minister said to India Today that, "offline classes for the students of class 1-5 would resume in Odisha from January 3. He said as per the directions of the chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, the government has decided to resume the physical mode of teaching in about 27,000 schools in the state. 



According to the information given, it mentions classes will be held from 9 am to 12 noon without Break and the distribution of dry ration among students under the mid-day meal school will continue as before. The information also mentions that the same standard operating procedure (SOPs) will be followed for the primary schools.



Many other states are closing their schools. And educational institutions again to curb the infection level. Whereas few states are reopening after witnessing the Covid situation in their respective areas.
