One injured after clash erupts between two groups during Tiranga Yatra in Lucknow

Situation brought under control!


On the mark of 75 th Independence Day, under the Azadi ka amrit mahotsav scheme, Har Ghar Tiranga initiative was implied on 15th august. 



A clash erupted between two groups when they were taking out a Tiranga Yatra in Lucknow on Independence Day. One person was injured in the incident.



As per the information, One person was injured after two groups of people taking out the Tiranga Yatra (tricolour procession) clashed with one another in Lucknow on Monday. The incident happened in Bangla Bazar locality under Ashiana police station in Lucknow.



According to the information, the people also pelted stones at each other in which two shops were partially damaged. The stone-pelting lasted for a minute and the entire scuffle took place for five minutes. Police officials reached the spot and brought the situation under control.



According to the police, two groups clashed due to a war of dominance. While one group was from Telibagh locality, the other one was from Bangla Bazar.Locals denied any communal angle. As per the shopkeepers, one youth from the group trying to save himself from attack entered a shop, after which shops came under the radar of miscreants.




"Police reached the spot and the situation was brought under control upon receiving the information of the clash. A case has been registered and attackers would be arrested soon,"Joint Commissioner of police, Law and Order, Piyush Mordia told ANI.
