Online education has made several students lives into a problematic one, not all the students can attend their educational classes properly. Internet access has become one of the serious issues.

Students trekking to the hilltop for internet access to attend their online classes on time. Due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, a group of students from  Goa track around 3 km every day in search of internet connectivity, they reach a hilltop inside a wildlife sanctuary. These are a group of 25 students out of the few are girls. The trek in sanguem taluka of South Goa district. Dangers associated with their journey have become a daily ritual for these kids and these students travel from villages like - Kumari and patre in Mangum taluka, situated in 100 kilometres south of Panaji is 3 km far away from Netravali wildlife.

Neelima is an engineering student, from Verna village, says we come here early morning 8 a.m and stay by 1:00 p.m till our classes get over and travel about 40 km daily from Panaji and sit over rock, sometimes they search for Barren lands with no shelter. She said - even when it rains they sit with their umbrella and access to the internet also vanishes and its too hectic for them to resume their glasses during rain. Challenges faced by students,

Pranita Gaonkar from Government College from Quepem, says we often come across some wild animals and snakes crawling over the plateaus and face them frequently.

The area has BSNL towers but the connectivity is low, said, locals.

According to students, they have contacted senior officials and discussed their problems.

They are trying to ensure all the BSNL Towers to be functional and have also discussed their issue at a meeting held in the district collectorate

After the hit with covid-19 in India. Not only these limited children are facing internet issues, but some more village-like Bihar,  Madhya Pradesh and many more places also have a lack of network issues throughout the year and people are unable to call during an emergency
