Only 50 allowed at Mussoorie's Kempty Falls

The popular video of Mussorie's Kempty Falls went viral, after that the official order has been declared that only 50 tourists will be allowed with a maximum time of 30 minutes near the falls.


An alleged old footage of Mussorie's Kempty Falls has gone viral on the internet and sparked an outrage. An official order has been declared that only 50 tourists  with a maximum time of 30 minutes will be allowed near the falls, also an air horn will be used to signify the time limitation. The statement by District Magistrate Iva Ashish Shrivastava said a check-post will be set up to monitor the tourists' crowd. As the video went viral on social media, people have been seeing bathing without maintaining social distance norms which have become a sign to imagine several people getting infected. Besides, the third wave of coronavirus is also expected shortly. 

The protocols of wearing masks and maintaining physical distancing have also been put in place more strictly. The government has also cautioned the people who are visiting hill stations to follow up on all protocols & instructions of COVID-19.
