Over 80,000 Pilgrims Visit Kedarnath Dham On 5th Day

Char Dham Yatra Begins!


Around 80,000 pilgrims visited on the fifth day of the opening of the doors of Kedarnath Dham and took darshan of Lord Kedarnath.

 

According to the statement given by SP, Rudraprayag, Ayush Aggarwal, told ANI on the phone that the journey to Kedarnath Dham is going on smoothly and there is a queue among passengers for darshan.

 

Further added, "From the helipad located in Kedarnath Dham to the temple, there is a long queue of devotees to have darshan of God. 6 devotees who came on Kedarnath pilgrimage have also died due to deteriorating health."

 

Amid bad weather, in Uttarakhand and nearby areas many pilgrims have been stopped on the route due to bad weather conditions. Authorities said that passengers are stopped at Sonprayag due to bad weather.

 

This holy yatra is also called ‘Teerth Yatra’, and millions of Hindu devotees take a tour to the divine sites each year to find their solace and peace. The 4 holy shrines combined are referred to as Char Dham. The Yamunotri has dedicated to goddess Yamuna, Gangotri is dedicated to goddess Ganga, Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and Kedarnath is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Chardham is not only a tour but a journey that is the excellent amalgamation of what your mind, body, and soul need to align.

 

Chardham is one of the most revered pilgrimages in Hinduism, on which every Hindu seeks to embark once in his or her lifetime. This religious yatra is organized every year only for merely six months, which starts in April/May.
