Overnight Rain Eases Delhi's Air

More Expected Today...

Delhi NCR experienced a welcome relief from heightened air pollution as light rainfall graced several areas on the night between Thursday and Friday.

Light to moderate rain showers were observed at Kartavya Path and the Delhi-Noida border, as depicted in the visuals.

The rainfall in the national capital coincides with the Delhi government's ongoing initiatives to explore 'artificial rain' as a measure to address the pollution challenges in the city.

Officials reported that on Thursday, the Delhi government opted for the implementation of 'artificial rain' as a strategy to combat the air pollution in the city.

In addition, ministers from the Delhi government have been actively engaged in overseeing the implementation of measures to combat pollution.

During the inspection, various Delhi ministers were observed on Thursday, assessing different areas and borders that link Delhi to neighboring states.

The national capital is currently under Stage IV of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) as the air quality has deteriorated to the 'severe plus' category.
