Oxygen plant will be installed in government hospital in every district

Decision to set up 551 such plants from PM Cares Fund

Amid the second wave of Corona, it has been decided to set up an oxygen plant in every district of the country for oxygen, these oxygen plants will be set up from PM CARES FUND. On Sunday, on the instructions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it was decided to set up 551 oxygen plants in government health centers from the PM Cares Fund. The Prime Minister has asked them to start it soon. With this, the availability of oxygen in the district level hospitals will increase immediately.

Government hospitals will be selected to set up plants in district headquarters. These plants will be set up through the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The advantage will be that if there is a hindrance in oxygen supply from outside in government hospitals, then with the help of these plants, the patients will not have trouble. These plants will be able to meet every day needs. The PM Cares Fund earlier this year allocated Rs 201.58 crore for setting up 162 such plants. In its report in February itself, a parliamentary committee had asked the government to encourage the production of oxygen in hospitals. The Congress alleges that the government has ignored this report.
