Prime Minister Narendra Modi wishes the nation on Gurupurb


Prime Minister led Narendra Modi today paid tribute to Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism, on his 551st birth anniversary. Today, the nation is celebrating the auspicious occasion as Guru Nanak Jayanti. Narendra Modi has twitted and wished the people on the day of Gurpurab. He shared that Guru Nanak's "thoughts keep motivating" people every day. Leaders of the Political party and others across the country are greeting each other on Gurpurab and celebrating together. 

The first guru of the Sikhs was born in 1469 in Nankana Sahib, the first of its 10 gurus and also known as the founder of Sikhism.PM Modi said, "I bow to Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji on his Parkash Purab. May his thoughts keep motivating us to serve society and ensure a better planet." On twitter.  

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has scheduled to visit his parliamentary constituency which is in Varanasi. He will devote to the nation the widened Handia-Rajatalab section of National Highway 19(NH-19) a 6 laned, 73 km stretch. He took the initiative action and also reduced the arrival time from 3 hours to approx 1 hour between Prayagraj and Varanasi.

Preparations have been going on in Varanasi for the Prime Minister's visit. PM Modi will also visit the site for his project Kashi Vishwanath Temple Corridor, the Sarnath Archaeological Site and will  also attend and celebrate the festival of Dev Diwali and he will light an earthen lamp at Raj Ghat in Varanasi .

Dev Diwali is held in the month of Kartik yearly and there are also counted Eleven lakh earthen lamps with be lighted on both side of the Ganga in Varanasi. A few days before, Narendra Modi had released a book on the life and ideals of Guru Nanak Dev by Kirpal Singh..
