Pakistan Arrests Mumbai Attacks Mastermind Over Terror Funding.
The mastermind of Mumbai attacks and a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Zaki-ur-Taiba was arrested on Sunday in Pakistan over charges of terror funding. In 2015 Lakhvi was out on bail in the Mumbai attack case and is now arrested by the Pakistan’s Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) but they have not yet revealed his place of arrest.
“Following an intelligence based operation conducted by the CDT Punjab (Pakistan) proscribed organization LeT leader Zaki-ur-Rehman lakhvi was arrested on charges of terrorism financing” said the CTD Pakistan and it further added by saying that the 61 year old was arrested in a case registered against him in the police station regarding terrorism financing.
In addition to it the CDT of Pakistan said that in belonging to the banned terror organization LeT, lakhvi is also a designated UN terrorist and he will undergo his trail before the Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore.
