To welcome the Month of Ramadan...


Thousands of Palestinians across the country come together to attend the ceremony to clean and prepare al-Aqsa Mosque for the holy month of Ramadan.

 

Islamic movement in 48 Palestine and Association for Protecting Al-Aqsa Awqaf (endowments) and Sanctities organized the program as is the tradition to perform pre-Ramadan spring cleaning to prepare the holy site for Ramadan worshipping ceremonies.

 

The organizers stated in their joint statement that over then thousands Palestinians men, women and children have attended came from all across the occupied lands for the annual ceremony.

 

Aim behind this annual pre-Ramadan cleaning of the participants is to prepare the al-Aqsa Mosque for the coming holy month of Ramadan and also show their support for the holy site and the Palestinians in Jerusalem in Arab neighborhood against Israeli atrocities.

 

In the ceremony, all courtyard, praying rooms and nearby places have been properly cleaned up and renovations of the older neighborhood is underway.

 

Despite restrictions imposed by Israeli forces, Palestinians enthusiastically welcome holy month and religious ceremonies particularly the prayers held during Ramadan.
