PM Modi Extends His Wishes On Vishu And Good Friday

President Kovind Also Extends his greetings!


On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings to Indians on the occasion of Good Friday and Vishu.

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday greeted Indians on the occasion of Poila Boishakh and Vishu. “Shubho Nabo Barsho! Best wishes on Poila Boishakh," PM Modi tweeted wishing on the Bengali New Year. “Greetings on Poila Boishakh. This special occasion manifests the outstanding Bengali culture. I hope that the coming year brings with it joy, peace, and prosperity. May all our wishes are fulfilled," he wrote.

 

According to the tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote, “We remember the courage and sacrifices of Jesus Christ today on Good Friday. His ideals of service and brotherhood are the guiding light for several people." He further wished on the occasion of Vishu and prayed for the good health of citizens. 

 

Vishu is an auspicious festival in Kerala and parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. People celebrate their New Year on the first day of the month of Medam according to the Malayalam calendar. The festival is celebrated as Puttandu in Tamil Nadu, Poila Boisakh in West Bengal, Bohag Bihu in Assam, and Baisakhi in Punjab.

 

Whereas Easter marks Jesus Christ’s resurrection following his crucifixion on Good Friday. The date might differ each year as per both Gregorian and Julian Calendars. It is also known by the name Holy Friday, Great Friday, and Black Friday. The good stands for pious or holy.

 

President Ram Nath Kovind also extends his greetings on the Mark of occasion.
