Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated today across the country. It is celebrated with great enthusiasm and zeal by the devotees of Lord Hanuman. The day is celebrated as the birthday of the monkey god and devotees flock to temples to worship the lord and seek his blessings to protect them from evil. 

 

As the country celebrates the festival of 'Hanuman Jayanti', Prime Minister Narendra Modi led greetings on Saturday amid religious events across the country. The Prime Minister took to twitter to wish the people, he tweeted, "Many best wishes to all compatriots on the birthday of Lord Hanuman, a symbol of strength, courage and restraint. By the grace of Pawanputra, may everyone's life always be filled with strength, intelligence, and knowledge? I wish that we continue to receive his blessings in the ongoing fight against the corona pandemic. May his life and ideals keep inspiring us," PM Modi tweeted in Hindi.  

 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended greetings on Hanuman Jayanti and wished that the Lord Hanuman empower all the countrymen to fight his pandemic. He wrote, "Heartiest wishes to all of you on Hanuman Jayanti. Sankat Mochan Shree Hanuman removes all the sufferings and bless us all with good health and empowers all the countrymen to fight this pandemic. 

 

Cheif Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath said, "May the blessings of the Supreme Ram devotee, Sankat Mochan, be Maruti Nandan Bajrangbali on all creation. May everyone's life be filled with happiness, prosperity and health?" 

 

Leader of the opposition in Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav also wished the nation Hanuman Jayanti. The head of the Samajwadi Party tweeted a coupler from Hanuman Chalisa on today morning. 

 

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also wished on the occasion of today. "Best wishes to all of you on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. You may get rid of every crisis in your life and be healthy and safe, this is my prayer to Lord Hanuman," said defence minister. 

 

Union Minister Piyush Goyal wishes health, happiness and prosperity to everyone's life. "My best wishes to all the countrymen on the birth anniversary of Sankat Mochan Sri Hanuman. Lord Hanuman, an ardent devotee of Lord Shri Ram, brings health, happiness and prosperity to everyone's life and keep his blessings on everyone's," Piyush Goyal said in a tweet. 

 

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "Happy Hanuman Jayanti to all!" Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Smriti Irani were also among the several political leaders who extended the greetings of Hanuman Jayanti to their fellow countrymen.
