PM Modi, other leaders extend greetings for Navratri

Many more leaders including Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended his Navratri greetings to the countrymen.


The festival of Navratri and Durga puja began on Thursday. This is a nine-day festival. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings to all. 

According to the tweet, the PM said, "Navratri greetings to everyone. The coming days are about devoting ourselves to the worship of Jagat Janani Maa  May Navratri be the bringer of strength, good health and prosperity in everyone's lives."

Many more leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended his Navratri greeting to the countrymen. He also said, "Navratri is a grand festival where people can realise their inner power and awaken their souls."

Meanwhile, on the first day of Navratri, Goddess Shailputri is worshipped. Whereas different avatars of Goddess Durga are evoked and worshipped during the nine-day festival.
