PM Modi Pays Tribute To CRPF Soldiers On Pulwama Attack Anniversary

Their Courage motivates us; says PM


New Delhi: On Tuesday, 14 February 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel who were killed in a terror attack on their convoy in Pulwama on this day in 2019.

PM Modi said in a tweet, "Remembering our valorous heroes who we lost on this day in Pulwama. We will never forget their supreme sacrifice. Their courage motivates us to build a strong and developed India."

40 soldiers were killed after a suicide bomber rammed his vehicle into the CRPF convoy. In a retaliatory attack, the Indian Air Force targeted terror camps in Balakot in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, also paid tribute and said the nation would never forget the sacrifice of the soldiers. “Their valor and indomitable courage will always remain an inspiration in the fight against terrorism,” he said.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge also paid homage to the martyrs for their “supreme sacrifice”.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar wrote, “Homage to our courageous jawans who laid down their lives on 14 February in Pulwama in 2019. We pay tribute by maintaining our vigil and countering cross-border terrorism.”

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also paid homage and wrote that India will always remember their courage and sacrifice.
