PM Modi’s Pakistani sister sends him Rakhi!

The Pakistan-based woman said she has been tying Rakhi to him for 24-25 years…


Prime minister Narendra Modi’s Pakistan-based sister, Qamar Mohsin Shaikh, sent a Rakhi ahead of Raksha Bandhan for him.

 

She also sent a letter praying for his good health and long life and wishing him luck for the 2024 general elections. Qamar also mentioned that she has made all the preparations and expected to meet her brother Modi this time. 

 

News Agency ANI repeating Shaikh said, “I hope he (PM Narendra Modi) will call me to Delhi this time. I have done all the preparations. I made this Rakhi by myself using a Reshmi ribbon with embroidery design”. Shaikh also added that “there is no doubt, he will be the PM again. He deserves this because he has those capabilities and I wish him to be PM of India every time”. 

 

Qamar Mohsin Shaikh has been religiously sending a Rakhi and a card on Raksha Bandhan to Mr. Modi every year. Shaikh came to India from Pakistan after her marriage and has been living in India ever since. The Pakistan-based woman said that she has been tying Rakhi to PM Modi for 24-25 years now. 

 

Reminiscing her memories Shaikh said her first Raksha Bandhan with PM Modi was when he was still working as an RSS worker. 

 

Raksha Bandhan is an auspicious day in the Hindu Lunar calendar month of the Shravana. The auspicious day often falls in the month of August and Raksha Bandhan is observed. It is a tradition between siblings where the sister ties a Rakhi around her brother’s wrist and the brother swears to protect her from the evils of the world.
