PM Modi to address event on July 29 to mark one year of new NEP

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation on July 29 (Thursday) to mark the completion of one-year of the new National Education Policy (NEP). Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted through his social media account on Monday.

PM Narendra Modi is likely to talk about the progress, so far of the policy which he implemented last year. Meanwhile, a roadmap for projects in the pipeline and their timelines would be also shared .The program will be a virtual event from 4.30 pm onwards. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will also address the online event. The Ministry is also planning to organize eight theme-based webinars on use for the use of technology. The NEP which was approved by the Union Cabinet last year at a meeting presided by Prime Minister Modi replaced the National Policy on Education framed in 1986. The objective is to make it easier for transformational reforms in school and higher education systems to make India a global knowledge superpower.
