These places like Rajkot, Mandvi (Kutch), Porbandar, Vadodara, Bardoli (Surat) and Dandi (Navsari) are linked with the independence movement of India. Where Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel will preside over the function in Rajkot.

At the same time, Rajendra Trivedi, President of Gujarat State Legislative Assembly will lead the function at Navlakhi Maidan in Vadodara. In Bardoli, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel launched a 'Satyagraha' movement to protest against the revenue imposed on the farmers, due to which the British had to face resistance. The function in Bardoli will be directed by Education Minister Bhupendra Singh Chudasama.
