World's Second-Largest Statue In Sitting Position


On February 5, Prime minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the world's second-largest statue in a sitting position.

 

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the Statue of Equality to the world on February 5, 2022. It is a 216 feet tall statue of Sri Ramanujacharya, an 11th-century Bhakti saint, and a revolutionary social reformer," a press release from the organisers said on Thursday.

 

According to the release it said, President Ram Nath Kovind would unveil the inner chamber of the statue of Ramanuja on February 13.

 

As per the information, this is a 216-foot-tall statue of Ramanujacharya, a saint and an 11 th century social reformer. This statue has been built at a 45acre complex on the outskirts of the city.

 

The information mentions, the 1,000 crore project was funded by donations all across the world by the devotees. The innect Sanctorum dirty of Sri Ramanujacharya has been made up of Gold. Around 120 kilos of gold has been used in the Making.

 

According to the statement given by Chinna jeeyar Swami, "We heartily welcome everyone including chief guests, dignitaries, devotees, and people from all walks of life for the grand opening of the Statue of equality.

 

Bhagwad Ramanujacharya has remained a true icon of equality for 1,000 years and this project will ensure his teachings are practiced for at least 1,000 years.

 

To celebrate the 1,000 birth anniversary of the saint, several other events including 1035 yajna (fire ritual) and other Spiritual activities and mantra chanting would take place.
