Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is to speak with Ukraine President Zelensky. As per the sources this Today's conversation will take place at a time India is trying to move out hundreds of Indians, mainly students, still stuck in war-hit Ukraine.



Many Indian residents are stuck in the war hit zone of Ukraine and neighboring countries.

Indians are working towards the evacuation procedure. Also, the Indian Air force (IAF) is trying to bring back the Indian residents and students from the war zone.



The PM had last spoke to the Ukrainian president on February 26 after the war broke out on February 24.



As per the information given, the Evacuation from the warzone has been a huge challenge for the authorities with students struggling in the bitter cold, amid depleting food supplies and drinking water.



The Centre, conducting Operation Ganga to evacuate Indians stranded in war-torn Ukraine, has already approached Ukraine to ensure a safe passage for the exit of the Indian nationals. The ministry of external affairs has also urged for a ceasefire, which Russia has selectively implemented. More than 10,000 Indian students have been evacuated from Ukraine under Operation Ganga.



As Zelensky sought India's political support, PM Modi conveyed India's willingness to contribute in any way towards peace efforts, as he expressed deep anguish and reiterated his call for an immediate cessation of violence, which he made during his call with Vladimir Putin as well.



The Indian Embassy has asked all Indian nationals still in Ukraine and seeking evacuation to fill up a registration form, mentioning their location and other details. "Important Announcement: Embassy of India begins its last leg of Operation Ganga flights today. All those students staying in their own accommodation (other than arranged by the embassy) are requested to reach... Budapest between 10am-12pm," the Indian Embassy in Hungary said.
