From 9 April a three day mega event will be held in contribution to 50 years of project Tiger in Mysuru, Karnataka by the ministry of environment, forest and climate change in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

As per the official information, the project Tiger will complete its 50 years on 1 April 2023, with a vision of Mission Life by PM Modi during the Amritkal, signifying peace, prosperity, development, and conservation.

To showcase the success of the project and to garner more political and public support for Tiger conservation, they will introduce a mega-event.

When the project began, they initially had nine tiger reserves spread over 18,278 square kilometres, which later increased to 53 tiger reserves and almost 75,000 square kilometres of area, which is approximately 24% of the county's geographical area of tiger habitat.
