Police step up security outside Lucknow’s Lulu Mall

200 private security guards have been deployed!

A controversy erupted after videos of a few people offering Namaz inside the shopping arena of Lulu Mall surfaced on the internet. The Hindu Mahasabha raised an objection and asked all the Hindus to boycott the mall.

Amidst the ongoing controversy over the offering of Namaz inside Lucknow's Lulu Mall, police have deployed additional security in and outside the establishment to maintain law and order.

The administration of Lulu Mall has increased vigilance across the entire length of the property, even in the mall parking. About 200 private security guards have been deployed to keep an eye on the area.

Amid the Namaz row, a crowd gathered outside the entrance gate of the mall to recite Sundar Kand, following which four people were arrested.

According to the information, the mall authorities had earlier put up notices across the property saying, "No religious prayers will be permitted in the mall." The mall administration and police are still on an alert mode. In terms of security, CCTVs have been installed in every corner of the two-storey Lulu Mall.

From the entrance gate to the escalator and the dining area, actions are being monitored. The security office of the mall is being monitored round the clock as 1,016 CCTV cameras are installed throughout the mall. In-charges have been posted shift-wise to keep a watch on CCTV.

PAC personnel have been deployed at the mall gate to keep a close watch on every visitor.
