As Jagannath Rath Yatra Begins…
New Delhi: On Tuesday, 20 June 2023, President Droupadi Murmu greeted people across the globe on the occasion of Lord Jagannath's Rath Yatra.
He prayed for the people’s happiness, peace, and prosperity in their life.
During the annual yatra, chariots of Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra, and Lord Jagannath are pulled from the Shri Jagannath temple to the Shree Gundicha temple in Puri.
Similar yantras are also taken out in other parts of the country as well.
"On the occasion of the commencement of the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, I extend my hearty congratulations and best wishes to all, especially the devotees of Lord Jagannath.
I pray that this Jagannath festival of devotion and dedication brings happiness, peace, and prosperity to your life. Jai Jagannath," President Murmu tweeted in Hindi and Odia language.
