On Zakir Hussains’s birth anniversary president pays homage

Ram Nath Kovind the President of India paid homage to the former President of India Zakir Hussain on Monday on the occasion of his birth anniversary at Rashtrapati Bhavan. A floral tribute was paid by the President and the officials of Rashtrapati Bhawan in front of the portrait of Zakir Hussain.

Zakir Hussain was the third President of India and was born February 8, 1857. He served as the President of India from May 13, 1967 until his death on May 3, 1969. He also served as the Governor of Bihar state from 1957-1962 and as the Vice President of India from 1962-1967.
