President Ram Nath Kovind's Recovery Well; Shifted From ICU

President Kovind recovered from after surgery and shifted to the special ward.


President, Ram Nath Kovind completed his recovery and was shifted from the ICU to a special ward at the AIIMS hospital on Saturday. The official spokesperson of Rashtrapati Bhavan on Saturday confirmed that President Kovind’s health has been improving since his bypass surgery which was on March 30.

On social media, the Rashtrapati Bhavan's official tweet said, “His health has been improving continuously. Doctors are constantly monitoring his condition and have advised him to take rest.”

Ram Nath underwent a planned bypass surgery at AIIMS, based in National Capital earlier this week. President Ram Nath Kovind stated that he is recovering well after his bypass surgery and thanked doctors and caretakers for surgery on Thursday.

The president stated that he was touched by communicators from citizens and leaders from all over the world wishing him speedy recovery. He also added in his statement that "It's difficult to express in words my gratitude to you all"

Ram Nath had undergone a health check-up at the Army Hospital (R&R) in the National Capital following reports showing chest discomfort on Friday morning.
