Massive Gathering Outside the Voting Booth to Witness the Event

In the third phase of the Lok Sabha polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi exercised his voting right at a school in Ahmedabad. The Nishan Higher Secondary School, located in the Ranip locality of the city, served as the designated polling station for the event.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the polling station just after 7:30 am. He was greeted by Union Minister Amit Shah, and together they walked to the booth. A large crowd assembled roadside to see PM Modi, cheering and chanting slogans in his support.

En route to the voting booth, Prime Minister Modi graciously gave his autograph to a supporter on a portrait the individual had drawn of him.

Outside the booth, Prime Minister Modi urged citizens to exercise their voting rights in large numbers, emphasizing its significance in a democracy. He stated, "There is great importance of 'daan' in our country, and in the same spirit, the countrymen should vote as much as possible. Four rounds of voting are still ahead."

He also had a message for media persons who were tirelessly covering the elections: "Take care of your health and drink plenty of water."

Mr. Shah, who is contesting from Gandhinagar, cast his vote later in the day, accompanied by his family.

Today, voting is underway in 93 constituencies across 10 states and a Union Territory in the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections.
