Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth passed away at age of 99

Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth passed away at age of 99 on Friday morning at Windsor castle.


A declaration of the royal palace website says "It was with deep sorrow that her Majesty the queen had declared the death of his beloved husband, Prince Philip duke of Edinburgh".

Prince Philip was born in Greek royal family on Greek island of Corfu on June 10, 1921 then later married Elizabeth in 1947 and retired from public involvement in 2017 when he retired, he also enrolled himself with some courses related to science and technology and environmental causes.

Philip was admitted to St. Bartholomew’s Hospital in February after that he got infected as well taking several other heart tests. As Philip was not keeping well for a long time, he was hospitalized a lot in recent years although how Prince Phillip exactly died is still not brief by his family. Many People placed flowers outside the palace, while hundreds visited Windsor Castle.

Even PM Narendra Modi gave condolence to Prince Philip 's family. National television channels like BBC pledged Philip by playing the national anthem over a picture of him dressed in his uniform.

Philip's funeral will not be a state funeral, his body will lie rest in Windsor castle, ahead of the funeral which will take place in St. George chapel.
