Priyanka Gandhi promises 30% reservation in jobs for women: Goa Assembly Polls

Congress Secretary Slammed the Goa BJP Over Women's Safety

On Friday, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra promised 30 percent reservation in jobs for women. After releasing a manifesto for women in Uttar Pradesh she also promised jobs for women in Goa 2022 assembly elections if the party comes to the power.

While addressing a women convention "Priyadarshini" in Aquem during her one-day visit, she said" Goa is a known tourism destination. Tourists from across the world come to Goa. However, during the pandemic, the state government didn't help people involved in the tourism sector. The Congress party would reserve 30 percent seats for women."

The Congress leader slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its work. She said she says "BJP has exploited all resources of Goa on its own. The water supply is only available for 20 minutes a day, the crime against women is on a surge." Adding her statement she says If congress comes to power it would set up a police station in every taluk of Goa and deploy a maximum number of women police personnel in the station." Priyanka Gandhi Vadra ensured safety for women if the party wins the election.

With the upcoming elections of Uttar Pradesh and Goa, Congress has released its manifesto focusing on women's safety and women's priority in jobs and other sectors.
