Priyanka Gandhi to address Mahapanchayat in Meerut on March 7

The Congress is holding Kisan Panchayats in 28 districts of western Uttar Pradesh.

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will address a Kisan Mahapanchayat in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh on March 7. The Congress is holding Kisan Panchayats in 28 districts of western Uttar Pradesh and this Mahapanchayat will take the number to five. The Kisan Panchayats are being held to raise the issue of farmers and support their cause of agitation against the three farm laws.

The party had launched a Jai Jawan Jai Kisan programme on February 10 in Saharanpur which was addressed by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. It was organised by Congress leader Imran Masood and was attended by Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Ajay Singh Lallu and other senior leaders.

With this campaign, the party's strategy is to establish a stronghold among the farmers, especially Jats, Gurjars, and Muslim communities. Senior leaders have been addressing Kisan Panchayats from district to tehsil level to gain hold in the region.
