Punjab to develop smart language listening labs in government schools

The state is introducing language listening labs in 4,738 government smart schools, total expenses of Rs 4.74 crore.


On Tuesday, Punjab Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla said the state will be now introducing language listening labs in 4,738 government smart schools, total expenses of Rs 4.74 crore has been raised by the education department to 2,200 primary and 2,538 high and senior secondary schools for the formation of listening labs. As per the Performance Grading Index (PGI) by the government, Mr. Vijay Inder Singla has been appointed as chairman in the field of school education to bring up growth in the coming years.

Mr. Vijay Inder Singla, talked about how the children must have the right to good quality education. Meanwhile, the government is doing all the possible ways in bringing the best for the education sector through which teachers and the students in the teaching and learning process. Besides revealing details about the facilities in the listening labs, Mr. Vijay Inder Singla, said the lab will provide the necessary equipment as a bluetooth amplifier, headphones, baton, pen-drive, and AUX cables for beneficial functioning. Moreover, he also adds a point where the guidelines are released in purchasing the equipment at fair rates and transparent manners.

The lab equipment is not only further used for playing or listening in the classes but should be available to teachers too in recording their voices for teaching purposes. The lab should be assessed during intervals which helps in bringing the best for the children.
