On Thursday October 15, 2020, a 20 year old engineering student was brutally murdered at her own house in Vijayawada. A man allegedly infatuated with the woman, slit her throat with a kitchen knife before attempting suicide.
The accused identified as Nagendrababu alias Chinna Swamy, according to source on early Thursday morning accused went to victim Divya Tejaswini's house in Kreesturajupuram area of Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh.
The accused slit the victim's throat with a knife before stabbing himself three times, said police. The victim's family rushed to the room after they heard screams, where they found the two lying in a pool of blood.The victim died on the spot while the accused is admitted to a hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
Chinna swamy is a painter, he and the victim was secretly married, he was harassing the victim and her family for so long.
Police said they have registered a case against the accused and further investigation is underway, sooner they will find out the reason behind this incident.
This is not the first case happened in Vijayawada, few days back before this incident, a woman was set on fire by her ex boyfriend. This incident happened on October 12, 2020 in Hanumanpet in Vijayawada.Police said that the victim held on to the the man as she was burning due to which the man also received 80 percent burn injuries, the victim died and the accused admitted to Government General hospital in Gutur.
According to police, they were a couple for past four years, but due to some issues, the woman broke up with him, but the accused refused to accept the breakup and started stalking and harassing her, and later this incident took place.
The investigation regarding this matter is still going on.
