The Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi came up to be in favour of the farmer's protest going on in
Punjab. The party says to stand with the solidarity and will of those farmers and supported "Bharat
Bandh". Rahul ensured to join the protest in this week.
Almost 31 farmer organizations have joined the cause to stand for the voice of the farmers who works
for the nation to feed. Some protesters have done "chakkajam" on the streets of Punjab and Haryana.
Gandhi expects to address the protesters. The date and venue of which will be final soon, a Congress
leader said.
Congress spokesperson Randeep Sujewala said that "the country has been attacked by the by a
pandemic and borders are in danger due to China and the Modi govt. is targeting the barns." He added it
a "disgusting conspiracy" against the farmers by the government.
The Congress decided to march a rally on Thursday as it is nearly about two months of a mass
movement against the government for passing “anti-farmer and anti-poor” bills during the monsoon
session of Parliament.
Anil Choudhary said the party workers in Delhi will plan to raise the voice of farmers and labourers. He
added the workers will protest against the government act.
“After Punjab, he may join the protesting farmers in Haryana. But we are not sure if the BJP government
in Haryana will allow him to enter the state,” the former Congress president Rahul Gandhi said.
On October 10 2020, a state-level conferencing will be organized to discuss the issue and to collect
signatures of 20 million farmers throughout the country those are against the bill.
