The country is witnessing heavy rains across several states. Meanwhile, a few states are also under red, orange and yellow alerts. The national capital has been witnessing heavy rains for the last week which has led to disturbance in traffic due to waterlogging in several parts of the city.
According to an official statement given by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), "Delhi -NCR is likely to witness moderate to heavy rainfall from Thursday till the end of the weekend." Meanwhile, the officials also predicted that the rainfall will intensify from Friday.
This year, Delhi witnessed an unpredictable monsoon and the city witnessed flooded roads, waterfall like scenarios from flyovers as well as disturbance in the traffic.
Meanwhile, other states like Maharashtra are also witnessing heavy rains across few districts, whereas a red alert was issued for few districts of Odisha because of heavy rain.
