Rain Lashes In Parts Of Delhi-NCR

Parts of the east, southeast, northeast, and north of Delhi are likely to experience moderate rain for the next two hours.


The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast moderate rain and cloudy skies for Delhi NCR on Tuesday.

Rainfalls in the range of 15.6 mm to 64.4 mm are classified as “moderate”. Parts of the east, southeast, northeast, and north of Delhi are likely to experience moderate rain for the next two hours. The maximum temperature is likely to be 33 degrees Celsius, the lowest 25 degrees Celsius. Humidity with 84% will be witnessed on Tuesday and the temperature will be 28 degrees Celsius.

Windy rainfall remains on the forecast from September 1-4. Thunderstorms are also on the forecast for the first week of September. According to the IMD’s seven-day forecast, moderate rainfall is a possibility on September 1, followed by light rain thereafter. Other places in south Delhi had rainfall traces between 8.30 a.m. on Monday for next 24 hours, as per the observatories of the IMD.

In August, the state capital recorded 144.7mm of rainfall on August 30th, about 31 below the normal of 209.4mm for the month, according to IMD rainfall statistics.
