Raj Kundra's Pornography Case: Mumbai Crime Branch Forms SIT to Conduct Further Investigation

An ACP rank officer will lead the SIT.

Raj Kundra's pornography case does not seem to be over anytime soon. Shilpa Shetty's husband has been in custody for more than a month. The latest update on this case is that the Mumbai Crime Branch has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to conduct further investigations into the pornography case. An ACP rank officer will lead the team.

According to reports, the ACP officer will further investigate the pornography case in which Raj Kundra is touted as the main conspirator. In this case, 12 people have been reportedly arrested so far, including Shilpa Shetty's husband. Kundra is accused of allegedly creating and publishing pornography through various apps and is currently on remand. Kundra's bail hearing is due to take place in court on August 20.

The director of one of Raj Kundra's companies, Abhijit Bhomble, was recently arrested on Thursday in connection with the case. An actress had previously filed an FIR with the Malvani police station against two directors and two producers of Raj's company.

On Tuesday, the Mumbai Sessions Court declined pre-arrest bail of Kundra, who was arrested last month for allegedly creating and broadcasting pornographic content via apps. In his bail statement, Raj said the police had filed an indictment in April and that his name was not on it or on the FIR in connection with the case. The statement stated that the defendants named on the indictment were released on bail, adding that the Magistrates Court wrongly declined their bail earlier.
