Rajasthan man sentenced to death for raping 11-year girl


Another heinous crime from Rajasthan came into focus on Tuesday. An 11-year-old girl was raped. But, this time a special court in Rajasthan's Ajmer has awarded the death penalty to a man for raping and killing the 11-year-old girl.


Knowing about the incident, the 11-year-old girl went missing after taking goats to gaze at a hill on June 21. Later, her body was found on the top of the hill with several injuries in her body.


As per the information, judge Ratan Lal Moond held Surendra Alias Santu guilty on Monday and awarded him the sentence a day later on Tuesday. 


It is seen that crime rate is increasing on a higher pace now and everone is aware about it beacuse of the social media platforms. But none of the decisions and safety precautions come to the limelight. Women and girls child safety should be the utmost priority of the Government. Every minute a rape happens and is ignored.


As per the report by the Delhi police, shared by the Hindu news portal, it says crime against women saw over 63 per cent rise in the year 2021.Knowing about heinous crime figures till June 15, cas come from 2,463 to 2,315. Also, this year seven cases of dacoity, 196 murders, 295 murder attempts,942 robbery,35 riot cases and 7 kidnappings for ransom have been reported.
