RAMESH POKHRIYAL INAUGURATES NEW CAMPUS OF CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF PUNJAB

Education minister inaugurates new campus university of Punjab


Ramesh Pokhriyal , Education minister, virtually inaugurated the new campus and newly constructed buildings of University of Punjab on 12th of October, Monday.

The 10 new buildings of the University Insignia movement dedicated "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan, Jai Ansudhan '' and this campus was built at a cost of rupees 203.78 crores. The foundation of the new CUPB was Laid in 2015  by Smriti Zubin Irani, Union Human Resource  Development  Minister and by Sardar Prakash Singh, Chief Minister of Punjab.

According to Ramesh Pokhriyal, he said about "Self -Reliant-India"(Atma Nirbhar Bharat) is the only path to move ahead and NEP (New Education Policy)2020 will guide and help in achieving a mission in making  India a Global Knowledge and Innovation  Center of the world.

According to the University Vice-Chancellor Professor, Raghavendra P Tiwari, He informed about the special features of the University which I spread in 500 acres designed in environment-friendly & energy-efficient as per GRIHA-V norms.informed that in 11 years from its inception in 2009, CUPB has set new benchmarks in the field of education and research while working from makeshift campus. CUPB is the youngest University that has secured its position in top 100 University (87thRank), & 1st among the new Central Universities (established since 2009) in NIRF India 2020 Rankings. University is running 42 post-Graduate and 35 Ph D Programme through its 31 departments.

Ms Harsimrat  Kaur Badal, Congratulated all the employees, students and the people of Punjab. The Inauguration of CUP and Bhatinda city will be known as the education hub of Punjab.

The education minister will Inaugurate two facilities at IIT Jodhpur. Innovation and Incubation centre and sports complex on the 16th of October.

According to an official statement,  it stated that Sanjay Dhote, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Jal shakti minister will be present in the event.

The live-streaming inaugural ceremony was attended by founder VC Prof. Jai Rup Singh and former VC Prof. RK Kohli.
