Random Covid tests to begin at Delhi airport; mandatory quarantine if tested positive

The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has said that random COVID-19 testing of travellers arriving in Delhi from states where cases are increasing rapidly, will begin at the airport from Wednesday. A notice was shared on Twitter by the DIAL saying that the passengers who will be found positive at arrival, their quarantine will be mandatory.

The Delhi Airport authority said, "As per the latest govt mandate, District Disaster Management Authorities shall conduct random COVID-19 testing of passengers coming from the states where the cases are increasing." The Delhi government had earlier declared that random testing of coronavirus will be done across airports, railway and bus stations of Delhi.
