Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University to host the 108th Indian Science Congress

Hon’ble PM to address the Indian Science Congress virtually


The 108th Indian Science Congress has been inaugurated by Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi virtually. This year the Indian Science Congress will be conducted in Nagpur from 3rd to 7th January. The delegates from Nobel Laureates, Scientists, Researchers, Teachers, Industrialists, Farmers, and Communicators will participate from all across the globe.

 

There are more than 7000 students who will participate in Children’s Science Congress. Science & Society a special programme to be conducted to focus on Sustainable Development of society and women empowerment. Also it will conduct Farmers Science Congress to improve the bio-economy and to attract the youth to agriculture.

“The event, scheduled to be held at the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University will see lectures by renowned women to showcase the contributions of women in science and technology”, a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.  

In addition, a Tribal Science Congress will be staged for the scientific display of indigenous ancient knowledge system and practice which have special focus on the empowerment of tribal community of India.

A program named-‘Pride of India EXPO’ – a mega science exhibition dedicated pavilion to portray the life and journey of eminent personalities who have created an indelible mark not just in India but internationally in the field of Science and Technology

Mr. Jitender Singh, the Minister of State (Independent Charge) Science and Technology, said that the ISRO’s key focus areas is on scientific exploration missions, technology demonstrations, and human spaceflight programme Gaganyan, in 2024. Thus, this year India will focus, invest and encourage scientific and technological development to its peak.
