Ravi Dahiya Bal Vidyalaya" school named after Tokyo Olympic silver medalist. The school "Rajkiya Bal Vidyalaya "situated in Adarsh Nagar will be called Ravi Dahiya Bal Vidyalaya.


On Tuesday (17th August), to honour the  Tokyo Olympic silver medalist the Delhi Government renamed Ravi Dahiya's school, "Rajkiya Bal Vidyalaya "situated in Adarsh Nagar as Ravi Dahiya Bal Vidyalaya.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia while facilitating Ravi Dahiya said it is a matter of great pride that an alumnus of the Delhi Government has won an Olympic Medal for India. He said" A large portrait of Ravi Dahiya will also be installed in this school so that young children are inspired and motivated to have an Olympic dream and bring glory to our great Nation.

According to the statement, Manish Sisodia also informed that the daily government is committed to promoting sports in the national capital at every level. He informed that the Arvind Kejriwal led government is soon going to set up the school of specialised excellence for sports along with Delhi sports University.  He Expressed that the idea is to recognise young talent in sports and continuously support them throughout their Sporting journey.
