Red Fort To Remain Shut For 5 Days For Visitors

It will be closed from January 22


Ahead of republic day, the Red Fort will be closed for the visitors for five days. The closure will start from January 22 till January 26. As per the information given by the police, the fort will remain closed in the National capital due to some security reasons.

 

According to the tweet, the Delhi police said," In view of republic day, the red fort shall remain closed for public and general visitors from January 22, 2022, till January 26, 2022, due to security reasons." 

 

According to the information, the republic day celebration will begin on January 23 instead of January 24 to include the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Subash Chandra Bose. Also, the information mentions that there is a three-layered security system in place for republic day. 

 

Citing the recent security breach of Prime minister Narendra Modi in Punjab. There's extra vigilance so that there should be no unavoidable circumstances taking place in the city. Says the police officer.

 

The security has been tightened in the National capital ahead of Republic Day. As per the information, Delhi will ban the operation of sub-traditional air platforms including drones (UAVs), paragliders, and hot air balloons.

 

According to the statement given by Delhi police chief Rakesh Asthana said, "on the occasion of Republic Day celebration 2022, all conventional aerial platforms like papa glider, paramotors, hang glider, UAV, UAS, Microlight aircraft, Remotely Pilot aircraft, Hot air balloon, small-sized operated aircraft, Quadcopter, and Para are prohibited." 

 

Further said, the orders will come into force from January 20 and will remain in force for a period of 27 days till 15-02-2022, unless it's withdrawn earlier." Said the police chief.
