DDMA issues order for closure of bars and Restaurants


On Tuesday, The Delhi Disaster management authority (DDMA) ordered the closure of Bars and Restaurants in the National Capital. This decision came to focus after the capital city reels with incessant cases of Covid-19 and Omicron. 


As per the information, the meeting was chaired by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal. Things were discussed Against the rise in cases for COVID.


According to the statement given by Lt. Anil Baijal said, the weekly markets have also been restricted in the capital city and will be operated only a single day a week. He said," Officers advised to strictly ensure Covid-19 appropriate behavior followed by people in Markets," further he also asked the officials to make adequate arrangements for additional manpower in hospitals and scale-up vaccination efforts.


According to the tweet, Lt. Governor Anil Baijal tweeted, "Given the increase in positive cases it was decided to close the restaurants and bars and to allow 'takeaway' facilities only. It was also decided to allow operation of only one weekly market per day per zone."

 

Further in another tweet he said, officers were also advised to strictly ensure that people wear masks and adhere to social distancing norms in the market and public places to break the chain of transmission.


As per the details given, it read restaurant will be allowed to operate dine-in facilities with 50 percent capacity from 8 am to 10 pm, for bars 12noon to 10 pm. 


Also, the Delhi CM on Sunday said, there will be No lockdown if people wear masks. He called, "deep concern" with the rise in cases of Covid-19 and urged people to follow appropriate Covid behavior.
