S.P. Balasubrahmanyam: Died Due to Coronavirus

Legendary Singer of Telugu is no more!


Legendary singer SP Balasubramanyam aka SPB died on September 25, 2020, at the age of 74. SP Balasubramanyam was tested positive for the novel coronavirus in the first week of August, Sooner SPB was asked to get home Quarantine as it was a mild case of coronavirus. But due to his family member's concern he chose to get hospitalized. He was quite well till August 13 but later that night of 13 August his condition got worsened and he was put on ventilator. He was on ECMO and ventilator support for over a month. Then on 13 September he tested negative for the novel coronavirus. Then again on 23rd September his condition got deteriorated.


SPB's son SP Charan addressed the media and said " my dad breathed his last at 1:04 p.m., thank you everyone for your prayers my dad will live long till his fans remember him." 
SPB's body was laid at his farm house in Tamaraipakkam in the outskirts of Chennai, SP Charan did all the sacraments. 
It's a huge loss for the south film industry the celebrities and the fans are shocked to know about SPB's death. They showed their love for SPB thorough Twitter.
SP Balasubramaniam was an all-rounder, multi-talented person, he worked as a singer, actor, music director, dubbing artist, and film producer in many languages. In his career he had recorded more than 40,000 songs in several languages he had won several awards and Guinness World record for recording highest number of songs. SPB was also honoured with Padma award in 2001 and Padma Bhushan in 2011.
