Sakshi Guha, nominated for India's COVID Soldiers Awards 2021 By The Better India Group

Founder and owner of Bengali love café…

Sakshi Guha, founder and owner of Bengali love cafe, runs a women based organization and also runs a small foundation called Bengali Love Cafe foundation where she says, “We are supporting and helping family who are able to get food”.

The owner of the cafe says that, I am glad to share that I have been nominated for India's COVID Soldiers Awards 2021 By The Better India Group.

I am Ms Sakshi Guha. I am 34 years old and run a cafe name- Bengali Love Cafe. I belong to a middle class family and from small town Muzaffarnagar.

Knowing all about the cafe, The Bengali Love cafe is a completely woman based organization where I am hiring and helping uneducated house wife or women and train them to learn how to survive and earn and grow together. Starting a business with no seed money or help from anyone and scaling it to the level I did within a year is commendable.

Knowing about their journey, she says: Our journey is very interesting and motivating as we started with zero investment as I lost my job and don't have any financial support. Though I lost one eye since childhood, I still never lost any hope when I lost my lost during a pandemic situation that was my life changing event. That was the time I decided to do something not only for myself and my family for society and our country too.

We knew important of Food and job as we lost both during pandemic .Hence we started Our journey by distributing leaflets in and around our locality with the hope of getting customers for her tiffin service. We use to take money for those who can afford and for those who can't afford we provide free meals to them.We are serving daily more than 400 meals across Gurgaon.

These statistics however, do not take into account the effects of COVID-19. The resultant migration, unemployment and loss of earning members of households has pushed millions of Indians into extreme poverty and hunger.

We set up Bengali love café foundation to help people in need by providing them with free meals and fruits. We are serving more than 400 meals daily to Isolated people , Covid patients, family members , Pg kids , college students, Youth workers , Corporate employees and senior citizens .

We are also helping other women's training them and helping them to grow together. We are growing vegetables at our own house fresh and chemical free.

All masala used for cooking are also home made by women team members to maintain hygiene, quality and are cost effective.

Not only this, they also promote zero food wastage policy and always promote donating the extra food left to the needy. We believe if each one of us at least takes an initiative to help at least one needy person to have food then one day daily then the entire people of our country will be free with hunger and able to live happily.

We promote Feed India one time meal campaign under Bengali love cafe foundation. We are glad to share that we have been able to help more than 50000-60000 people.
