SC to find a fix Solution for Pollution in Delhi-NCR

Decision has been taken to lift the ban on certain industries


New Delhi: Today, the Supreme Court has ordered the Commission for Air Quality Management to invite suggestions from the public and experts about a permanent solution to the problem of air pollution in Delhi-NCR.

 

Chief Justice NV Ramana checked the report filed by the commission which stated that a decision to lift the ban on certain industries has been already taken.

 

Justices DY Chandrachud and Surya Kant said, "The committee's report states the measures that have been taken already. So far as construction activities have been taken it's been stated that a decision will be taken tomorrow. List of the matters will be released in the first week of February. Meanwhile, we have asked the commission to take suggestions from the general public and experts about a permanent solution to the pollution."
