Schools closed in Delhi from tomorrow until further order

Due to rise in pollution level

On Thursday, the environment minister, Gopal Rai ordered that the schools in the National Capital will be closed from tomorrow until further order. This order came into focus after the capital city is witnessing a rise in its pollution levels.

The announcement was made by the minister after the supreme court's criticism of the Delhi government's decision to reopen schools. The statement read, "three-year-olds and four-year-olds are going to school but adults are working from home."  Adding more it said, "we will appoint somebody to administer your government."

According to the statement given by chief justice NV Ramana while hearing a case related to Delhi pollution, "we take your statements in court seriously and true. One thing you told me was that schools are closed. But schools are not closed. Small children have to go in the morning in fog. There's no respect? See today's paper. Children are going. I know children who are going to school. Don't attract orders everything we need not tell you. We respect you. So, the elders have to work from home, and children have to go to school?" Said the chief justice.

The air quality is getting worse in the National capital. The pollution levels are in a severe category. On Thursday the air quality in Delhi worsened. According to the Central pollution control board (CPCB), the hourly air quality index (AQI) stood at 416 at 6 am.
