Schools in Goa to reopen for class 9 to 12 from October 18. Whereas a standard operating procedure (SOP) has been implemented by the Goa Government to control the spread of the virus.


Schools and colleges were closed in the country for more than 2 years. The Covid-19 deadly virus had led to the closure and brought a forced stop in daily schedules. Meanwhile, few states are witnessing a downfall in Covid-19 cases. On Thursday the director of Education Bhushan Savairkar said that the state government has permitted the schools to reopen in Goa for classes 9 to 12.Whereas a standard operating procedure (SOP) has been implemented by the Goa Government to control the spread of the virus.As per the statement, it said: "schools may, if required, initially follow a hybrid mode of teaching, that is online as well as offline classes." Adding more it said school functions and assemblies should not be conducted, said the state government order.

Meanwhile,  on Thursday the state witnessed 68 cases of Covid-19 with 2 casualties taking the overall tally to 1,77,356 and 3,335 deaths.
