Schools should be opened in a staggered way: AIIMS Chief. He said, states with a positivity rate below 5 per cent should reopen schools.


All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Chief, Randeep Guleria said "schools should be opened in a staggered way". He said it is an institution for a child's holistic development. adding that he said "Therefore, it's time to shut virtual classes and school should be reopened." He also stated, states with a positivity rate below 5 per cent should reopen schools.

Randeep Guleria also said,'' Schools can be immediately shut if surveillance hints at the spread of infection. But districts should explore the option of bringing children to school on alternate days and plan other ways of staggered reopening." Meanwhile, Educational classes are continuing with online mode whereas a few states are planning to reopen the classes for offline mode of studies and examination.
