Schools to remain shut due to incessant rain in Himachal Pradesh's Mandi

Disturbance in public transportation!


On Saturday, Schools in Himachal Pradesh's Mandi district will remain closed on August 20. 


As per the information, due to incessant rain, Deputy Commissioner Arindam Chaudhary said. In view of incessant rain in Mandi for the past more than two days and weather forecast of heavy rainfall in next 24 hours, it has been decided that all government and private educational institutions (except colleges and ITI) will remain closed on August 20.


Further he said in the order issued on Friday evening. All anganwadis will also remain closed, he said. Heads of educational institutions will ensure strict compliance of the order, he added.



All the Aganwaris will also remain closed, the order said. The official said that the heads of closed educational institutions shall strictly comply with the order issued as a matter of public safety.



Meanwhile heavy rainfall has hit few states and also led towards disruption in many areas and daily lifestyle. The school and colleges have been closed whereas Vaisho Devi temple witnesses incessant rainfall leading to disturbance in transmitting between devotees. 



Also few areas of Jharkhand and Odisha receive rainfall and have been under orange alerts.
